Liam's Baptism

Liam was baptized the day before he turned 10 months old. I'm not quite sure what took us so long, but I'm really glad we did it before he started walking. In his case..before he even started crawling.

We didn't make it a huge deal and invite everyone we knew.  We kept it small.  We also scheduled it for a time when his grandma would be in town.

Liam was baptized at St. Francis of Assisi in Raleigh. This is where Greg and I took our marriage classes so it only made sense to continue going there.  Plus...the church is gorgeous.  If Greg and I had gotten married in NC, it would have definitely been at this church. We live far away from this church, I wish we lived closer. I would definitely go there more often.

Liam wore his cousin Devin's baptismal outfit.  Thank goodness for the Puccia family.  About 75% of the clothes Liam wears are from them. So thankful for that!

Liam's godparents are his Aunt Kay and Uncle Chris. Chris and Lucia drove down just for the service. I think they may have been in their car longer than they were actually here.  We were so happy they could both be here.  We also invited our sweet neighbor, Susan.

Funny story about his outfit, I wanted him to wear my outfit from when I was baptized.  Now, this could have probably worked if Liam was a lot smaller.  It's a dress - kind of weird for a 10 month boy to be wearing a dress. It was SO SO funny to try it on though. Thankfully we just had to call the Puccia's and an outfit was in the mail the next day. Whheww!

Check out that hat!! I couldn't help but laugh every time he wore it.

After the service we came back here and enjoyed some BBQ. It was a nice and relaxing day.
